About Yellow Lotus
Sandy Stevens is a yoga teacher registered with the Yoga Alliance. Since completing her teacher training in St. Louis, she has recently studied with Tias Little, Desiree Rumbaugh and Sarah Powers. Her primary concentrations are in Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative yoga. She has also studied Thai Yoga Massage through the Still Light Centre in Toronto and is currently offering Thai Yoga Bodywork sessions.
Her yoga classes are taught with a focus on intention, alignment, breathing and exploration while remembering to have fun. She creates a calming, meditative and supportive atmosphere for her students to integrate mind, body and heart, as they increase strength, flexibility and body awareness. She challenges her students to find the right amount of ease and effort not only on the mat, but off as well. It is her goal that her students leave each class feeling balanced and energized, with a deeper understanding and connection to themselves and others.
She believes yoga is a powerful tool that can be used to reduce and neutralize stress while creating space in our lives- to breathe, contemplate, rejuvenate and, of course, bend and stretch!
